WALT: respond.

Room 1 has just finished reading our class novel 'Project Huia'. We are now responding to this text by writing a book review. This will help show our understanding of the text. We also need to remember that a book review is read by an audience, so we should include all the things that make good writing (e.g. variety of sentence structures, descriptive language, paragraphs, correct punctuation). We will add our responses in posts.

Our response to the text should include:
1. A paragraph introducing the text  being judged.
This section should contain information on the title of the text being judged, the name of the person who constructed it (the author/artist), when it as constructed and a brief summary of the work.

2. A description of the text.
This section gives details about the main features of the text and a summary of what happens in it. There can be one or more paragraphs in this section of the response.

3. A judgement of the text.
This section gives a judgement of the text by the person writing the response. There also may be some recommendations. This section can be one or more paragraphs.
