Road Smarts!

The Rockets and Super Stars had an awesome adventure in town last week.  Constable Kendrick arranged for us to learn about road safety and how to cross pedestrian crossing safely. This is very important for us five and six year olds.  Quite a few of us travel to school and the town bus and have to walk places after we get off the bus in the afternoon.  For the country people town walking and crossing busy town roads not something we do every day.
The Rockets and Super Star actively listened to all instructions.  We know we have to stop, look both always twice to check no cars are coming and then walk smartly across the road.  We did this really well.  We even crossed roads without pedestrian crossings.

We even learned out how to watch out for cars coming out of alleys and drive ways.  Phew... there was lots to about and think about.
